Rome Hosts Successful Launch of VIROMARKERS Project

The VIROMARKERS project, started on February 1, 2025, celebrated its official launch with a dynamic kickoff meeting in Rome on April 3rd and 4th, 2025. The event fostered lively scientific discussions within a friendly and collaborative setting, signaling an exciting start for the consortium. Driven by a shared goal, VIROMARKERS will focus on developing groundbreaking biomarkers to transform the care of people living with HIV and hepatitis D, as well as stem cell transplant recipients vulnerable to cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection or reactivation. The project aims to produce scientifically sound and practical solutions with the potential to transform healthcare, ultimately leading to new tests for better-informed treatment choices.
